The coziest barista outlet I’ve ever been to. Beautiful and comfy atmosphere; very spacious. It’s the best place to enjoy a hot coffee in the cold weather of Nuwara Eliya. Highly recommended!

A good coffee shop, no very good they have very good selection of food and drinks. Staff very friendly, smiling all the time, like all Sri Lankan people. We had coffee, ice tea and some sandwiches, they were all good. The place has very nice interior and clean toilets. The only thing they need to improve: pay attention to customers order and be little bit faster.

My home away from home . Such nice vibe with the Piano, Pool table if you order above a certain price.. Staff quite friendly and always with a smile. Warm, safe and comfortable place with lots of comfy seats and can charge your laptop and work here.. Some days can be busy due to tourists. if you are a solo traveller I highly recommend. Coffee and cakes are great but so is the chicken pasta and chicken lasagna. I’m a regular.

A beautiful spot with lovely outdoor seating! We visited during a festival day, so it was quite crowded with families enjoying themselves. The atmosphere wasn’t as calm as we expected, but it would likely be a peaceful and relaxing place during off-season days. Inside, there are some brilliant seating areas and even a billiards table and piano, which adds a fun and unique touch. However, it can get a bit noisy during busy times. I had a medium-sized mocha and a meal. The mocha was good, but not quite the same as what I’ve tasted at other Barista outlets—still enjoyable, just a bit different. The service staff were working hard to serve everyone, which was great to see, though the coffee preparation area wasn’t very tidy due to the rush. Overall, a great location with hardworking staff and a good vibe—best enjoyed on quieter days!

Barista Nuwara Eliya is one of the most relaxing spots in the hill country . The cozy interior paired with the cool Nuwara Eliya climate makes it the perfect place to unwind. The coffee is rich and aromatic, and the food is fresh and tasty every time. What makes this café truly special is the live piano music – it creates such a soothing and magical atmosphere that you can’t help but sit back and enjoy the moment. It really elevates the whole experience and makes Barista stand out from other cafés in town. The staff are warm and friendly, making sure every guest feels welcome. The only drawback is that parking is limited to about 10–12 vehicles, so it can be a bit tricky to find a spot during busy hours. But once you step inside, the comfort and vibe make it worth the effort. Definitely a must-visit for anyone exploring Nuwara Eliya – whether for a quick coffee, a chat with friends, or just to enjoy the music and atmosphere in “Little England” ????????

We’re also big fans of their croissants, so fresh, buttery, and perfectly baked every time. One of the things we appreciate most is the consistency across branches. No matter where we go, the food and drinks are reliably good, and the service is always friendly and welcoming. The Nuwara Eliya branch especially has a cozy, charming atmosphere that makes it such a lovely spot to relax and enjoy your coffee. We’ve also used their home delivery service, and it's been a great experience ,fast, convenient, and with the same great taste as dining in. Barista has become one of our favorite go-to places, whether for a quick coffee break, a relaxed meal, or a cozy outing. Highly recommended!
